Selecionadas algumas citações e imagens destes livros, estas foram postas em diálogo com excertos do texto Cinema in the Hands of the People deTrevor Stark e Cultura Cientí ca e Neorealismo de Luís Andrade.

A arte, o pão e a água (The Art, the Bread and the Water) consists of three panels presenting a composition of several graphite drawings on paper. It was created after reading Herbert Reads A Arte e a Sociedade, Marquis de Condorcets Quadro dos Progressos do Espírito Humano and L. Adams Arte Primitiva” components of section 2 of the Biblioteca Cosmos and parts of the MNR (Museum of Neo-Realism) archive. Then, quotations and images from those books were selected and brought into dialogue with excerpts from the text Cinema in the Hands of People by Trevor Stark and Cultura cientí ca e Neorrealismo by Luís Andrade.

The three panels contain drawings drawn with two hands simultaneously, with specially designed tools, drawn texts, rewritten texts and deconstructed texts that question the multitude of readings and their opacity and deal with the accessibility or inaccessibility of culture and its respective class division.

The focal point of the piece is to erase the gap between the manual and the intellectual work through drawing and the different languages it may acquire.
